| Celebrating Freedom.
Today, the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department joins communities across the nation in recognizing Juneteenth.
As firefighters, EMTs, and public servants, we understand the importance of history. Fire service traditions are built on remembering where we came from, learning from the past, and honoring those who paved the way for future generations. Juneteenth serves as a powerful reminder of the continued pursuit of freedom, equality, and opportunity for all Americans.
Just as we take pride in preserving the history of the fire service, we also recognize the significance of the events that have shaped our nation. By remembering our history, we strengthen our communities and reaffirm our commitment to serving everyone with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Today, we reflect, learn, and honor the resilience, perseverance, and contributions of those whose stories are an important part of America’s history.
From all of us at the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department, we wish everyone a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.
